How Ask & Receive Helped My Son With His Exam

By

Ask & Receive Helps My Son Get An 'A' In His Exam!On Friday my son had to take a maths exam to try to raise his predictated grades for his universtiy application.

His teachers predicted a ‘C’ . They said that they would prepare an exam for him. If he did well they might give him a ‘B’.

He only had one evening to prepare which he wasn’t happy about but he set to work. I started doing ‘Ask & Receive’ which I learned from Sandi Radomski for him to help calm him down and focus.

How I did Ask & Receive

I started by saying,

“There’s a part of his being that already knows how to be calm, relaxed and focused

And that part of his being is willing to inform the rest of him now

It is doing so now with grace and ease

His mind body and spirit are receiving this information

Information transfer is now complete”.

I then tried to imagine how he must be feeling and then did Ask and Receive for the opposite of what that feeling was. For example: I am easily understanding and remembering this work, I am revising what needs to be done for my exam tomorrow etc.

I also worked on some of my own feelings about it.

The day of the exam

Next day, after dropping him at school I set to work again during my drive back home. I do think people must think I am talking to myself! I could be on a hands free phone though couldn’t I?

First of all I worked on my anxiety and limiting beliefs about whether he could get a higher grade.

Then I worked for my son. Here’s a few examples of what I said:

There’s a part of his being that already knows that it is possible to get an ‘A’ in maths

and that part of his being.…………………..continue with A&R

There’s a part of his being that already knows how to be calm, relaxed and focused and be able to access the information he needs from where it is stored

……………..continue with A&R

There’s a part of his being that already knows that he deserves to get an ‘A’ in his maths exam today

…………….continue the A&R

There’s a part of his being that already knows that it is safe to get and ‘A’ in his maths exam today

……………continue with A&R

The identity issue

There’s a part of his being that already knows that he can keep his identity even if he gets and ‘A’ in his maths exam today (continue A&R)

This last one is a really good one because I a lot of teenagers have an image or identity that they like to have within their social circle. Being seen to be clever might not suit that ‘cool’ image so they could unknowingly be sabbotaging any attempts they are making to get good grades.

We need to help them find the part of them that knows that they can get a good grade and still be ‘cool’. Then that part of their being needs to send that information to the rest of them and then they need to receive it. Just like that!

When I got home I did Ask & Receive and used my healinglaser on my ears whilst I was doing it.

Result!!!!

The phone rang two hours later. It was his teacher to tell me that had done very well in his exam and that he got an ‘A’. Woo hoo!!!!!

So I really recommend that whenever you or someone close to you is feeling worried or anxious, start doing Ask & Receive. Worry and anxiety have much less chance of creating a positive outcome. Remember that you are a powerful creator! You are creating your life experience and you can help others create theirs (even if you have to do it for them).

With love and light,

How often should Ask & Receive statements be repeated? Are they like affirmations that have to be repeated over and over?

    • Hi Ronald,

It’s a really good idea to muscle test the statements before and after doing them. I really like the sway test or the easy self muscle test which you will find links to on the left hand side.

You are looking for a positive or yes response from your testing for the statement of what it is that you want.

I find it important that after the first statement you then go through, “It is possible”, “It is safe”, “I keep my identity even when….”,
      “I deserve”.

For example, “There’s a part of my being that already knows how access the information that I have learned for the exam when I need it (carry on with A & R)
      Then….
“There’s a part of my being that already knows that it is possible for me to access the information that I have learned for the exam when I need it (carry on with A & R)

Then substitute ‘possible’ for ‘it is safe’ ‘I keep my identity’ ‘I deserve’

      Does that make sense?

If you don’t want to muscle test you can keep repeating any statements that you feel need repeating. If you are doing exams there is no harm at all in repeating that you feel calm and relaxed. Stress just triggers the fight or flight response and then it is very difficult to remember anything you have learned!

I hope that helps! Please ask if you have any more questions.
      With love,
      Cathy x
